Manager People & Culture

An exciting opportunity has arisen to lead and develop the People and Culture team at Council. If you are looking for the next step in your career then this could be the role for you.

This role reports directly to the General Manager and will partner closely with the management team across Council. It will be a hands on role as the team provides the full cycle of HR and WHS support. The Manager will help the team to develop as it evolves over the coming years and this will also create the potential for the manager role to grow.

We are looking for someone who has proven experience as a People Partner. You will have the ability to manage change and to adapt your communication style as required. You will play a key role in driving and supporting HR and WHS initiatives across Council.

An excellent remuneration package will be negotiated with the successful candidate, dependent upon skills and experience. Gunnedah Shire Council is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer.

**Desirable** Accredited Post Graduate Management Accreditation in a related discipline.*

**Desirable** Previous experience in Local Government.*
