The Opportunity

Reporting to the Director Planning and Environmental Services, the role will primarily be responsible for providing high quality support to the Director Planning and Environmental Services through an organised and planned approach to deliver efficient and effective professional assistance, that is in line with the departments strategies and objectives as well as Council’s vision and organisational values. To provide administrative and other support to the following sections of the Department; Economy and Growth, Social and Community Planning, Community Safety and Compliance and Waste Services.

Our next Executive Assistant to Director Planning and Environmental Services

The ideal candidate will have;

  • Experience in a senior secretarial/administrative role, including high-level word processing and administrative skills, or similar position.
  • Certificate IV in an Office Administration/Senior Secretarial Studies, other related discipline.
  • Clear, concise verbal and written communication skills.
  • Initiative and ability to work with little supervision
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment and positively contribute to the team.
  • Proven discretion and judgement in dealing with sensitive and confidential information.
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills.
  • Understanding of, and ability to conform and comply with, WH&S, Risk Management and Equal Employment Opportunity policies and systems.
  • Demonstrated skills and knowledge in use of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability and continued commitment to work according to Councils' policies and Code of Conduct, with or without supervision.

Annual salary of $78,785 - $86,964 + Superannuation
