Gunnedah Shire Council performs a range of functions and we provide a progressive, rewarding and varied working environment.
We are seeking a motivated individual who is enthusiastic about learning customer service and administration skills whilst serving the community.
Key duties of the role include, but are not limited to:
- Communicating with customers via telephone, email and face to face.
- Processing customer service requests.
- Processing payments and undertake receipting and cash handling duties.
- Undertaking general administration duties as directed.
Our next Business Administration Trainee - Customer Service
We are looking for someone who is ready to take the next step in their career. Many of our trainees have obtained great jobs after they have finished their traineeship. You do not need to have a lot of experience and applications from school leavers are encouraged. Ideally you will be able to demonstrate:
- A can-do attitude and strong work ethic.
- Commitment to both on and off the job training.
- Demonstrated written and oral communication skills.
- Strong computer literacy skills.
- High level of accuracy and eye for detail.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Ability to follow instructions.
- Ability to assess and prioritise tasks.
- Previous customer service experience.
- Previous cash handling experience.

Annual salary starting from $41,771 + Superannuation
