The Opportunity
Reporting to the Cultural Precinct Team Leader, Gunnedah Shire Council now has an exciting opportunity for a Venue and Events Operations Officer to join their team in Gunnedah for a 12 month fixed term .
The role is responsible for ensuring the day to day operation of the Cultural Precinct venues, including Civic Theatre, are appropriately staffed, equipped, cleaned and supported. Weekend and after hours work will be regularly required.
Our next Venue and Events Operations Officer
To be considered for this role, you will have a demonstrated capability, experience and understanding in the following areas;
- Relevant qualification or experience in Event or Venue Management or Operations
- Demonstrated ability to supervise staff, provide quality customer service and maintain reporting against budgets
- Demonstrated skills and knowledge in use of Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability and continued commitment to work according to Councils' policies and Code of Conduct, with or without supervision.
- Current valid NSW Class C Drivers Licence (ongoing employment is conditional on maintaining this Licence).
You will also be a proactive and self-motivating team player with the ability to prioritise tasks, make decisions and solve problems that arise.

Annual salary of $59,923 to $66,144 + Superannuation
