Salary Range: Grade 21 ($130,879 - $144,466 per year + 12% Superannuation)

 

Contract Type: Full Time, 35 hours per week

Our Next Manager Plant & Depot

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, manage and control the operation of Council’s Plant and Depot Services Division
  • Provide strategic business planning for the development of Council’s Plant, Fleet and Depot Services
  • Manage Councils plant, fleet and depot assets to achieve satisfactory levels of service to all internal clients to ensure the long term financial sustainability of those assets
  • Plan and undertake maintenance, renewal and upgrade works for plant, fleet and depot assets
  • Manage Councils store supplies in an efficient and cost effective manner
  • Undertake purchasing and procurement/tendering as required
  • Manage and operate Councils depot facilities to service Councils operational activities.
  • Perform the Deputy Local Emergency Management Officer function

Key Requirements:

  • Degree in Business, Management, or related field or extensive experience relevant to the role. 
  • Demonstrated experience in managing and leading a large multi-disciplinary team within a complex organisation across a multi-site work environment.
  • Holder of current driver’s license.
  • Demonstrated skills and knowledge in use of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability and continued commitment to work according to Councils' policies and Code of Conduct, with or without supervision.

Current valid NSW Class C Drivers Licence (ongoing employment is conditional on maintaining this Licence).
