Gunnedah Shire Council is seeking a motivated and collaborative professional to join as our next Strategy and Assets Engineer.

Our Next Strategy & Assets Engineer
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and implement strategic business plans for Council’s Infrastructure Assets;
- Ensure Infrastructure Assets provide best value for community stakeholders;
- Provide specialist advice for, and execute, strategic planning, development of options, and financial analysis for civil and public infrastructure strategic planning;
- Manage consultancy contracts for strategic plans for infrastructure assets;
- Provide technical support for staff; and
- Provide quality administration support as required.
Key Requirements
- Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent qualifications acceptable for membership of Engineers Australia
- WHS General Induction for Construction Work (White Card)
- Demonstrated skills and knowledge in use of Microsoft Office applications
- Ability and continued commitment to work according to Councils' policies and Code of Conduct, with or without supervision.
- Current valid NSW Class C Drivers Licence (ongoing employment is conditional on maintaining this Licence).
While not required, desirable characteristics of a successful candidate could include:
- Experience in Local Government.
- Experience in Project Management for civil infrastructure
