Our Next Senior Public Facilities Officer
In this role, you’ll work closely with the Manager of Public Facilities and step into their shoes when needed, playing a key part in the smooth operation of our public spaces—from parks and sporting fields to swimming pools, the airport, and bushfire management. You’ll help deliver essential services that make a real difference to the community.
What You’ll Be Doing:

Support management of Public Facilities Unit functions

Assist with developing and implementing strategies and plans
-
Help with asset management alongside staff
-
Contribute to business planning and resource management
-
Prepare operational plans and budgets
-
Write and review grant applications, strategic documents, plans, and reports to secure funding and guide future initiatives

Coordinate and supervise capital expenditure projects
-
Assist with tenders, quotations, and Council reports
-
Build relationships with facility user groups
-
Manage leases/licenses and engage in community consultation
-
Undertake Aerodrome Reporting Officer training and conduct inspections
-
Support bushfire management and continuous improvement
-
Perform administrative tasks and maintain records
-
Respond to customer requests in line with service standards

Participate in Council’s on-call roster
